Chemainus

Chemainus

Chemainus is located on the Chemainus River Valley on the east coast of Vancouver Island in Canada.

The town was originally settled in the 1850’s as a logging community. While forestry has diminished in its importance to the economy of the community, it remains the largest industry.

It is now better known for it’s 40 plus murals that adorn the buildings of the town. The murals as well as Chemainus’ locations between Victoria and ferry terminals has helped improve its tourism industry.

If you are on Vancouver Island, make sure you spend some time in this beautiful town.
